Rio Nuevo is an independent chocolate company based in Cornwall that is dedicated to sourcing and producing the finest chocolate available on the market, while also addressing the inequalities that exist within the chocolate industry. With close ties to rural cacao farming communities across Ecuador's Amazon Rainforest and Cloud Forest, we are committed to developing and promoting a model of chocolate-making that lifts cacao growers and their communities out of poverty.

We believe that an exceptional chocolate should offer an honest reflection of the where it comes from and how it’s sourced.
That’s why at Rio Nuevo Chocolate we’re committed to shortening the chocolate supply chain and building direct trade relationships with our cacao farmers in order to leave more money in their hands. By paying our farmers directly and 65% above Fairtrade prices we're also enabling them to save two of the most biodiverse forests in our planet: The Cloud Forest and Amazon Rainforest of Ecuador.
